Sporting 77 Youth Development Welcomes You

This site is aimed at supporting Sporting 77 coaches with ideas and assistance.

“…Our Aim…”

at Sporting 77 development, is to make football an unforgettable, affordable experience for everyone who walks into our club. The success of Sporting 77 depends on our ability to keep members returning, having enjoyed and benefited from their experiences. Equally as important is the clubs ability to be able to evolve constantly, so that experiences and memories keep coming. It is our aim as a club to challenge, support and provide positive enjoyment for each child.

“…How?…”

We aim to do this, with appropriate age learning experiences, letting the player find his or her way, via lots of ball rolling, game playing time. We want our coaches to try to provide guided support at the right time whilst giving the players plenty of opportunity to play football and have fun.

“…Parallel Experiences…”

It is our aim, to ensure that every child has the opportunity to flourish on and off the pitch.
It is not only a love for football that can be shaped in this phase. Personal values, beliefs and morals are also shaped during these formative years – We hope to seize this opportunity to nurture a lifelong positive attitude by giving positive life experiences as well as positive football ones.

Sporting 77 Youth Development at a Glance

As we begin to plant the seed and build the foundations of the 4 corner* DNA model with our players, being comfortable on the ball whilst under pressure is the main focus for our age appropriate guided learning programme at foundation phase. This allows us to nurture a wider future development. We want to encourage our players to learn through exploring and being confident enough to try things. To fail and improve. We would like  our coaches to guide the players in the right direction, instead of telling the players the answers.
